Afternoon (PM) sessions: 13:30 – 17:00Join our expert tutors, Atif Saddiq (Assistant Professor & ACP in GP) and Mohammed Imran (ACP in GP) for this face-to-face course covering all aspects of Vaccination and Basic Life Support Training.

This face-to-face 3.5 hours training session will cover the essential skills required to reconstitute and administer vaccinations to adults and children aged 2 years and over.

Upon completion of this session and associated pre-reading, delegates will be able to:

• Administer intramuscular in the deltoid
• Reconstitute vaccines
• Recognise and manage anaphylaxis in adults and children using adrenaline.
• Undertake Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with and without the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

National Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and Protocols for NHS-funded vaccination services can be obtained from Community Pharmacy England (CPE) website and various other NHS organisations.

These NHS PGDs/Protocols will outline any further supplementary training and governance criteria required to utilise the PGDs.
